Why was ANTS set up?
ANTS was set up because we noticed the inconsistency in anaesthetics training at UK clinical medical schools. As students personally very interested in in anaesthetics, we wanted to create a programme that would not only tackle this discrepancy, but also inspire medical students to pursue a career in anaesthetics. Additionally, many of us have had our anaesthetics training cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic, making our teaching programme even more important.
